Honoring a meditative practice by the Cherokee, called Tsalagi, Peoples Dance of Life
A Map of Awareness in Mindfulness and breath with intention.
Our practice combines the beauty way of the Lakota Sioux with a form of the traditional Cherokee moving meditation similar to Tai Chi or Qi Gong. Building the energy within while connecting to self, community and nature as you focus on breath, balance and manifesting your intention. This form of meditation is unique because of its Native American influences with the integration of the medicine wheel’s four cardinal directions with the additional focus of above, below and within. One invites energy to flow through then is released, given back through the heart, becoming the receiver and giver with each breath cycle.
Come join us for a deeper understanding of the sacred, to bring inner peace and connect with self, nature and all our relations. After completing the movement practice, participants are then invited to practice the beauty way by creating a personal mandala from the foot impressions left in the sand. These can be simple offering representing your intentions to elaborate earth altars.
