Our calendars are an example for you to follow or come join in the fun with us. Let's Celebrate Life together as we use the healing qualities of nature.
Our calendars are an example for you to follow or come join in the fun with us. Let's Celebrate Life together as we use the healing qualities of nature.
Throughout the Spring and Summer months, we focus on enjoying
the warm longer evenings and nature's splash of colors of new growth highlighting the hillsides and our local parks.
Sky seems bluer with amazing cloud formations and sunsets inviting us to stop, in-joy, take a breath and reflect on your/my role in acknowledging the recyprocal relationship we have with all of life. Then answer that calling, internal quest to become unplugged then go for a hike, find a sit spot and reconnect with yourself and your extended family through mindfulness practice, and/or creative earth heART expressions.
And let's not forget the our nature immersive encounters on land and on the water during an intentional hike or sunset paddle.
We offer these monthly reminders to support each other to stay engaged in conscious self-care nature immersive practices. Starting in March we will offer more nature immersive opportunities to get outdoors and even earn CEUs while enjoying a conscious self-care experience.
For more details on locations, start times and what you may want to bring, please call 805 789-3427.
Coastal paddles for advanced kayakers often become a dolphin
encounter or tying up to a kelp bed and dropping a line.
Each provides deeper immersions into the rhythm of the sea.
During April and May, coastal paddles can turn into a Whale of time.
Grey Whales are returning with their calves and are often much
closer to the shore using the kelp forest for protective cover.

Simply Step Outside
Incorporating nature into your day intentionally will help you reap the benefits, and it doesn't have to be complicated. According to Mladen Golubic, MD, PhD, medical director of the Osher Center for Integrative Health, "prioritizing your wellness by spending time in nature promotes physical activity, engages your senses, encourages social interaction, and enhances well-being — all key elements of keeping you healthy." He emphasizes that "harnessing the healing power of nature is within your reach: simply step outside and reap its benefits.”
